House Assembly
A fun way to end the Term! Go Kakariki!!! Thank you parents for the great effort in dressing up the children.
Harlow won 100 points for our house for the best costume! She was the Green Queen! A lovely last day for her.

The Disappointment Dragon
Mrs Castle read us a story called 'The Disappointment Dragon'. Everybody knows him but nobody likes him! He loves children because when they throw tantrums which feeds him and makes him blow out fire. But we will not let him take us to his home which is a valley of despair because we know how to make him go away! We can pull ourselves together and count backwards from 10. We can also think of something else to distract us. We can do something nice for someone else and that will also make us feel good. The Dragon of Hope is always ready to take us to a land of joy and rainbows.
We drew amazing pictures and wrote great stories which we proudly shared in assembly.
